The old city

Ion shook her head in amusement, a small smile forming on her lips. "That was pretty much the most talented thing I think I've seen you do since I got here," she chuckled. She looked at the dark spot again and swallowed to keep from making a face. Carefully she moved her fingers against it, trying to feel through the swolleness whether anything was broken. "How bad does it hurt?"

Wolf winced and looked to Ion. "Thats cuz you havent asked me to do anything yet... its pretty bad..." Wolf looked down at the darkening skin and let out a breath of air.

Ion blinked and rolled her shoulders back. "You know what, I'm going to have to do something. I think you might have broken something. Lay back, please," she said, cracking her knuckles.

Wolf thankfully leaned back pain practically splitting his side. This just wasnt his week. "So... what do you want to do after?" HE asked pretty sure the mushroom he had picked were utterly destroyed in his pack.

Letting out a chuckle at his sudden change in subject, Ion shrugged and went to work. "I don't know... Maybe I could show you that tree I was checking out. The view is breath taking, or we could finish mushroom hunting, or what do you have in mind?"

Wolf attempted to shrug but just ended up in pain. "Sure lets go to the tree..." A sigh escaped his lips as she began to heal him. "Thanks..." Wolf was still embarrassed he had goofed up so bad.

"Of course," she smiled. Ion stood up and rolled her head, sighing when she heard a satisfying pop. "Alright, well I did the most I could. Probably going to have to do another session later."

Wolf slowly got up feeling better but still feeling the pain. "Ok sounds good..." He said exhaling with pain as he stood up. "So lets go check out that tree."

Ion hesitated, but decided to just drop it. She would watch him and if he showed any signs of fainting or anything she just suggest we head back. The last thing she wanted was him to fall out of the tree. Reaching for his hand, she started back up the hill.

Wolf took her hand and slowly started back up the hill. The burning in his side was milder, but it was still there. Looking up the hill for the tree he continued walking alongside Ion.

"So not to ask a dumb question, but are you familiar with climbing?" Ion asked. She had slowed her pace so as to not put too much strain on Wolf.

Wolf gave a little chuckle and looked over to her. "I can climb fine, I might not be a wind shade but i manage." Wolf smiled struggling up to the top of the hill. Looking up he saw the tree and grimaced. "Might need some help..." HE said feeling his side and looking at the branches.

"Well, we could just sit at the base if you want. I mean, it's up to you," she said, looking down at the tree. "If nothing else we can come up another day and actually climb."

Wolf just shook his head as they reached the tree and looked up. "Nah im sure ill manage." He answered not feeling as confident as he felt. Wolf gave his side a rub before reaching up to the first branch and lifting himself up, the bark digging into his hands and his side burning.

Grimacing, Ion reached a hand up and touched his arm lightly. "Hey, why don't we just chill down here for a while. That way we don't run the risk of falling out or anything."

Wolf nodded letting himself back out of the branch. "So... How are you?" He asked feeling like a gimp.

Ion smiled and dropped to the ground, resting her back against the trunk. "I'm pretty good. Thinking a nap would be good right about now," she half joked. "I would ask how you were, but I can just about guess."

Wolf gave a small laugh and sat at the base of the tree leaning his head against the trunk. "Well ive been better, but not with better company." He grinned reaching behind him to remove his backpack before he leaned once again against the tree.

Ion smiled and took Wolf's hand in hers. She closed her eyes and stifled a yawn. "So, what are you plans for the rest of the day?"

Wolf smiled and looked over sheepishly. "Im hoping to just not hurt myself... maybe get some... er... alone time?" He asked turning back his head to face forwards. "How about you?"

"I don't really have anything planned," Ion said. He was always getting those weird looks on his face, what was that about? Did couples usually have this much 'time alone'? Ion sighed, blinking away her thoughts. Wolf had lived around people all his life, he would know what happened. She just need to chill.

Wolf watched Ion think and smiled. "Your hair looks really nice today." It was kind of random but it had sounded better before he said it. Giving her a kiss on the cheek he leaned his head back and closed his eyes.

Ion looked over and chuckled. "Thanks?" She gave Wolf's hand a squeeze and settle down onto the ground, laying her head back against the tree trunk. A couple of squirrels down the hill were looking around a lone tree for nuts. She zoned out watching the animals.

Wolf watched the squirrel with her the leaves falling around them with each gust of wind. It as starting to get chilly each day. "Hey Ion... How far do you ever wanna go? How much do you like me?" He suddenly blurted his word leaving his mouth as more leaves fell. It was calming sitting around the tree the ground colorful and vibrant with the soft yellows and reds of leaves. His thumb softly stroked her hand as he looked into her eyes, they were soft... gentle... confident. The azure blue of crystal bring a sheer calmness over him.

Ion attention was snapped away from the squirrels. She look up at Wolf, her eyebrows furrowed, and confusion plain on her face. What was he rambling on about now? "Um, I don't really understand what you're asking me," she said truthfully. He had said something else like this when they were back at the mall. Damn those years of having no contact with the world.
