Jack of All Trades

"Academy of defense? if so yes i was" Akihiko said looking at her waiting for her to lead his lost butt to where he was supposed to be. Cause he had completly lost his group, and they were going to let him have it for sure. Because, he was supposed to follow with them but had stayed behind to find out about some shades there but had changed his mind when they didn't even notice him. He was glad to find SOMEONE out here in the woods at this time.

Chase let out a laugh and shook her head. Yep, he hadn't changed much at all. "Of course the Academy of Defense. What other academy would be out in the middle of the woods?" She rolled her eyes and moved off to the side. It only took her a couple of minutes to find out exactly where they were. Moving swiftly, she left no time for talk. All she was focussed on now was getting back before anyone else got there.

Akihiko chuckled and followed her, he kept quiet. He followed her, And stayed quiet. He knew better then to piss her off or annoy her. He looked at stuuf as if to try and remeber how to get back if need be though he doubted he would need to since he was with chase and would be reunited with his fellow darkhoods. Be stayed be hind her coping her pace. he kept up with her.

Finally the trees gave way to the front yard of the academy. Chase let out a breath and stepped onto the porch. No one had arrived yet. She leaned back against the wall and stared ahead at the tree line, all of her senses alert for any incoming people. "Where did you split of from your gang?" she asked not turning her head.

Akihiko looked at her. "Back at the village, across the stream." Akihiko replied looking at the academy. He sat down andwaited for her respose he was still the one with ne direction, out of the two of them. He sat on a stair. He felt alittle like he was an idiot, because of his no sence in direstion.He looked into the woods and sighed in his mind. He was glad to bump into Chase but he needed to be with his group and he knew he was going to get it from them when the got to the academy.

"Oh, great. Did you guys have fun? Find the Earth Shade?" Chase had heard of the rade, been there when they planned it. The only reason she hadn't gone with was so that she would be able to finish with the final preperations for the academy. Now she was starting to regret the descision. It would have felt great to have a chance at the Shade. Hopefully they weren't too bad on the humans though. For all they knew the Shade had taken them hostage.

"The earth shade wasn't there when we began the attack." Akihiko said simply as he sat there looking in to the woods waiting for his group to show up like they were supposed to. He looked at chase. then turned back to looking into the woods ahead of him. he began thinking about the attack that they had gone on.

Chase cocked her head and figetted. "Wasn't there when you began? So he came later?" Trying to get information out of him was like pulling out a tooth with a string tied to a door knob, and it was frusterating her. Ok, calm down, she told herself. She took a deep breath and waited for Akihiko to respond.

"Yea he came with more shades and acouple of humans..." Akihiko said standing up and streatching and still looking into the woods. He saw acouple of hooded people followed by more, "Hey i think they're here" Akihiko said quickly changing the subject. He was safe for now but he knew he'd be bugged later unless she asked one of the members, and they told her.

She narrowed her eyes and was about to spin him around and demand that he tell her more but decided it probably wouldn't make such a great impression. Chase turned her attention to the group on their way to the academy door. "Hello, and welcome to the opening of the Academy of Defence."

A couple hours later most of the Dark Hoods had decided on staying at her academy and were finding bedrooms while the few who decided to stay solo were on their way out the door. Chase was moved to the kitchen to see about cooking up a midnight meal for everyone. She might not be the girliest girl in the world, but at least she knew her way around the kitchen.

Akihiko sat on the stairs watching the ones who said nah to the academy leave. He sat there feeling the wind blow against him. He closed his eyes the wind against his skin felt great. He smiled softly, at the feeling. He got up and went to a spot in the front yard laying down. He was lookin at the sky, letting the wind grazed against him. He had took off his hoodie thing and was usin it as a pillow. A buttoned up shirt and jeans was what he was wearing uder that hoodie/cape. He looked more muscular then he had when chase last saw him.

Ten minutes and there was a potpie cooking in the oven. Chase leaned against the counter and allowed the pile of thoughts stream through her mind. So far she had been succesful in getting members into the doors of her academy, now she needed to keep them there and get the word out to others. Then there was also the village full of Shades on the other side of the stream. She had told them to make sure the Shade had been there alone before attacking, but of course they didn't listen. Now they were all going to pay for it. And what was with the reappearance of Akihiko? When had he gotten into the bounty hunting business? Chase sighed and crossed her arms.

Akihiko had gotten into a relaxing wave of thoughts and was almost asleep. THe wind was relaxing, his thoughts relaxing, he had relaxed alot since he had talked to Chase. He could have lied to her but he told her the truth. She was his friend, he didn't ever lie to a friend now or ever. that was never the rightthing to do. He would eventually more then likely end up having to tell her what all had happened.

Chase looked up at the time. Their was still fifteen minutes until supper was ready. Guess I might as well go round up the troops. She pushed off the counter and exited the kitchen. After making her rounds in the sleeping quarters, alerting everyone it was time to head down to the dining room, she made her way outside. Akihiko hadn't been upstairs, so she figured he was scouting outside. She peaked her head out the front door to see him lying in the grass. Oh sure, that's doing something useful, she thought. "Time to come get ready to eat," she called before disappearing back into the building and heading towards the kitchen.

Akihiko heard her, and got up. He got his cape back on and went in heading to the dinning room. as he walked he thought that after dinner he should go find a room to sleep in. But he pushed it aside for now. He got to the dinning room and saw all those who secided to stay at the academy. He sat down at a seat and waited like everyone else. He yawned softly.

As she pulled out the hot pan, Chase couldn't help but laugh. Here she was, a kick-ass assasin of sorts, cooking for a bunch of other Dark Hoods. What was the world coming to? She bit her lip, fighting the thoughts from entering into her mind's spot light. No, they were not going to ruin this. The increasing warmth of the holders alerted her that she was still holding the pan. Chase set it down, waited a few minutes, then dished the plates. She placed them on a sheet of wood that she was holding by her shoulder and left hand. Walking into the dining room, she sent a look around that warned them to keep their mouths shut if they didn't like it. Chase handed out everything before disappear back into the kitchen. She had no intention of joining them, although she felt she had a responsibility to just that. So she grudgingly grabbed her plate and went to find a spot.

Akihiko ate his food to him it was great. So he ate it happily, and quietly. Everyone ate quietly, some made faces while others ate there peacefully and quietly, enjoying there meal. most of everyone enjoyed the food Chase had prepared. And were greatfull for it. Some hadn't eaten in days on end, also greatfull for thr meal Chase had prepared. Akihiko was one that hadn't eaten in days and was greatfull for the meal.

Chase quickly ate her meal. Once done she stood up, grabbed her plate, and moved away from the table. "Ok guys, when your done just put your dishes in the sink and go get some rest. Training starts tomorrow, starting with a short briefing of today's rade." Not waiting for an answer, she walked back to the kitchen to drop off her plate, afterwards deciding to do a quick perimeter scan before locking up.

Akihiko finished and put his dish in the sink. Everyone else also finished and put them in the sink. Akihiko quickly washed the dishes and dried them then went to a vancet rom in the sleeping quarters and went to bed falling to sleep. Bt before he fell asleep he thought about Chase and how he had bumped into her. He always liked her. He was thinking of how little he had changed from scince she had seen him.

She walked along the tree line, peering closely in between the trees. It was dark, but she could well enough. Chase made it back to her starting point without finding anyone. Well, I'll take that as a good sign, she thought as she walked up to the door. Once inside she checked to make sure that everyone was asleep. Then, with a cup of tea in hand, she silently made her way upstairs and into her room. Unlike everyone else who would have to eventually share she got her own room. Chase sat down on her bed cross-legged, took a sip of tea, then closed her eyes and let herself relaxed. It was a ritual she always did before going to bed. After around fifteen minutes she finished her tea in a gulp and slid under the blankets.

Akihiko slepy peacfully. He was content in his dream as he slept under the covers. He was warm and at ease. He moved and continued sleeping. Soon he gradually woke up and groaned and went back to bed not falling asleep like he had wanted . He laid there trying to shutdown his mind so he could sleep. Soon he had fallen asleep once again, this time staying asleep like he had wanted to the first time.

Chase woke up early the next morning. She got dressed before silently walking down the stairs to the kitchen. Protein shakes were on the menu that morning and she wanted to have them done before she got everyone up at five thirty. In the half hour that she had she made breakfast, did a quick warm-up excersise, gotten the crockpot going with lunch, and was on her third glass of water. As soon as all the shakes had been prepared she walked up into the hallway. "Wake up! Breakfast in five minutes!" she called unnaturally loud.

Akihiko had gotten very little sleep. But heard her yell and got up getting dressed then he went to the dinning hall. he put his head down almost falling asleep. but then Was kicked by the person next to him he jumped up, "I'm up...." He said tiredly. Though it was obious he didn't sleep well, at all. He yawned. He was extreamly tired but he didn't go back to sleep. He looked at all the other tired faces.

"Alright everyone, drink up! We've got quite the day ahead of us." Chase walked into the room with her wood slat on her shoulder. She quickly handed out the cups before taking hers and sitting down. After she had finished about half, taking less than two minutes, she turned to the group. "As a reminder of the day, we're going to do a quick debrief of the raid on the village, then move on with some basic training and meditating. We'll see how long that takes us to determine what else we do." She was highly aware of the quiet groans floating down the table but chose to ignore them as she finished off her shake.

akihiko drank his in 3 minutes flat. He was done, and waiting. He heard all the soft groans and rolled his eyes. They were starting to sound like highschoolers. Thats annoying....He rested his face in his left hand yawning. He was Extremly tired and he was done trying to hide it but he wasn't goind to fall asleep during the training and stuff. He looked at everyone taking their time to drink theres, he sighed. This was going to be a long day.
